Joshua Jones is serving as an Analyst supporting mission sustainment, land use studies, and community partnerships. In an effort to improve land use compatible development, Josh is supporting state and regional partnership initiatives that will enhance installation communication and cooperation with local municipalities, state and local governments, and private conservation organizations. Through partnerships, stakeholder engagement and compatible land use planning, he is helping to ensure compatible land uses, protect and preserve important habitats that enhance resilience and species recovery, and provide tools to streamline regulatory processes and avoid future encumbrances.
Prior to joining Marstel-Day, Josh served 9 years in the Air Force as an active-duty SERE Specialist where he trained high-risk-of-isolation personnel to return from any type of survival situation. During that time, he deployed 3 times to Iraq, Turkey, and Laos before leaving to pursue his higher education at the University of Iowa. In 2021, he completed his MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering from the University of Iowa where he focused on sustainable water development.
