J. Jones

Project Manager

Mr. Jones serves as the Planner and Project Manager for the Mission Sustainment Team at the Homestead Air Reserve Base environmental office. In support of the 482 Mission Support Group (MSG), Mr. Jones executes partnerships for conservation and natural resource management across military installations, state and local governments, and private conservation organizations. Through partnerships and compatible land use planning, he ensures compatible land uses, helps protect and preserve important habitats that enhance resilience and species recovery, and provides tools to streamline regulatory processes and avoid future encumbrances.

Prior to joining Marstel-Day, Mr. Jones served 9 years in the Air Force as an active duty SERE Specialist where he trained high-risk-of-isolation personnel to return from any type of survival situation. During this time, he deployed 3 times to Iraq, Turkey, and Laos before separating to pursue his education at the University of Iowa. He completed his MS in Civil & Environmental Engineering in 2021.
