Matt Davis is a Senior Encroachment Analyst for the Secretary of the Air Force (SAF) Office of Installations, Environment, and Energy Mission Sustainment Team. He is responsible for consulting with Headquarters Air Force, Major Commands and Installations throughout the Continental United States, to verify and consolidate information on Air Force operational missions and impacts. Mr. Davis is responsible for protecting National Security interests and serves as a lead negotiator on over 160 projects in the SAF/IEIM portfolio. Mr. Davis represents and advocates for Air Force interests during stakeholder engagements with local, state and federal agencies.

Prior to joining Marstel-Day, Mr. Davis supported the SAF Mission Sustainment Program identifying and mitigating encroachment into airspace, ranges and radars for the Air Force. He also consulted with the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC) supporting urban and military planning within the Comprehensive Planning Division focusing on Air Installation Compatible Use Zone (AICUZ), Airfield Planning and Waivers, Installation Energy Plans, Geospatial Planning, Training and Engagement, and District Planning.

Mr. Davis served 22 years combined in the Army and the Air Force as an Airspace and Airfield Manager. Throughout his career he was responsible for the daily operations, maintenance, and development of 15+ million square feet environments with a broad latitude for independent actions within the framework of federal and state laws. Mr. Davis has led teams of operators, planners, engineers, contractors, security forces, and environmental specialists to meet operational requirements in a safe but timely manner. He has served in seven countries supporting the Department of Defense.

Matt Davis has a BS in Aviation Business from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Certified Member (CM) within American Associates of Airport Executives, and Certification for Air Force Installation Planning Principles. He is currently pursuing Project Management Professional Certification.
