Mr. Shah is an on-call Planner providing research and technical support for Marstel Day’s Planning and Natural Resource programs, to include National Environmental Policy Act compliance and encroachment management studies of military installations, in addition to collaborative natural resources management, land use planning, and community partnering initiatives.
Prior to working at Marstel Day, Mr. Shah worked as a Current and Advanced Planning Consultant for various municipalities in California, such as the city of Rancho Cordova, city of Irwindale, city of Pasadena, and city of Santa Clarita, where he worked on policy, ordinance, and design amendments such as Zoning Code, Design Guidelines, Accessory Dwelling Unit, Housing Element, and Hazard Mitigation Policy Planning documents. He has also worked for Z-Global Power Engineering and Energy solutions, as an Environmental Planner for 2-50 Megawatt and Battery Energy Storage System projects in California’s Central Valley.
Mr. Shah graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. in Environmental Resources Management, concentrating on Wetlands and Watershed Management. He also holds a Masters in Sustainable Urban Planning from the George Washington University, where he focused on climate change management, climate adaptation, and climate change policy.
