Ms. Schwartz is experienced in research coordination, data analysis, and science communication. Prior to joining the company, she worked as a technical writer, a role in which she drafted proposals, created technical reports, updated company websites, and designed training programs for a variety of clients. She has also supported the docuseries Changing Seas, produced by South Florida PBS, as a volunteer communications intern and she volunteered with the Guy Harvey Research Institute by assisting during shark tagging trips.
Ms. Schwartz is currently attending Nova Southeastern University in pursuit of a Master of Science in Marine Science and Marine Biology. Her current research project involves an analytical risk assessment of microplastics among filter feeders, which she hopes will allow her to determine the species that are most likely to consume such debris. She previously graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences and Media Production, where she earned a well-rounded education that merged science with communications.
