Mr. Roy is a GIS technician at Marstel-Day LLC, performing geospatial analyses and generating map products and data deliverables for a variety of projects for clients including the US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Navy, US Army Corps of Engineers, and private sector clients. In addition to GIS work, Mr. Roy helps to prepare databases and deliverables up to IT standards, primarily utilizing current Spatial Data Standards for Facilities Infrastructure and Environment (SDSFIE) guidance. He also creates custom schemas and platforms on ArcPad and Collector App for projects that require field work and sub-meter accuracy GPS data collection.
With a penchant for conservation, Mr. Roy has worked as a park ranger in Colorado State Parks and a volunteer for the Washington Conservation Corps. He has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida in Forest Resources and Conservation, focused on Recreational Resource Management, and a GIS certification from the University of Denver.
