Kevin Knobloch

Kevin Knobloch is a Senior Research Associate at the Center for International Environment and Resource Policy at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy. This past January, he completed a 3.5 year Obama Administration appointment as Chief of Staff of the U.S. Department of Energy, and, prior to that, was President of the Union of Concerned Scientists for 10 years. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Conservation Programs at the Appalachian Mountain Club, Legislative Director for U.S. Senator Timothy Wirth (D-CO) and Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Ted Weiss (D-NY). Knobloch holds a Master in Public Administration degree from the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. He is married to Nicole St. Clair Knobloch and has two grown daughters.
