Ms. Hill is an analyst who currently supports encroachment management and strategic planning efforts for both the Marine Corps and the Navy, with a focus on land conservation programs. Prior to joining Marstel-Day, Ms. Hill held several research positions with work focusing on sustainability, food security, emergency management and spatial decision making, and international human rights law. As a National Science Foundation research fellow, Ms. Hill contributed to work focused on post-hurricane emergency response and is published in the International Journal of Geo- Information. As a graduate assistant at the George Washington University, Ms. Hill contributed to the development of the DC Coalition of Higher Education for the Environment, Resilience, and Sustainability (DC CHEERS), a group dedicated to sharing knowledge and resources on sustainability across all of the D.C. area universities.

Ms. Hill holds a BA in Environmental Planning and Political Science with a minor in GIS from Binghamton University and a MA in Environmental Policy from the George Washington University. For her master’s capstone project, Ms. Hill developed a cost benefit analysis of a stream restoration project completed in Rock Creek Park for the D.C. Department of Energy and Environment (DC DOEE) and National Park Service (NPS), which has now received the inaugural Trachtenberg Capstone Project Excellence Award.
