Ms. Bauer is a planner and analyst who currently supports Marine Corps encroachment management and partnering projects with a focus on community planning, communications, and stakeholder analysis. She previously worked at Homestead Air Reserve Base as the community planning liaison supporting encroachment management and community partnership efforts. In her previous on-site role at Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Beaufort, she provided project management and communications support to the Townsend Bombing Range Modernization and Expansion project. She also supported the installation's Community Plans and Liaison Office with communications, outreach, and stakeholder engagement for MCAS Beaufort aviation platform changes. Previously with Marstel-Day, Ms. Bauer developed engagement strategies and assessed encroachment challenges for Air Force Installation Complex Encroachment Management Action Plan (ICEMAP) projects. During graduate school at The College of William & Mary, Ms. Bauer worked as a research assistant analyzing federal and state pipeline compliance and environmental performance data. At the Virginia Chapter of The Nature Conservancy, Ms. Bauer provided research on land and water conservation programs and policies and coauthored a report analyzing local land use policies within the Chesapeake Bay watershed that protect and maintain healthy watersheds.

Bauer holds a BA in English and rhetoric & communication studies from the University of Richmond. She earned a Master of Public Policy from The College of William & Mary. She is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
