Rich Wilke, PLA

Senior Landscape Architect

Mr. Wilke is a Senior Landscape Architect at Marstel-Day, LLC. He provides project management and landscape architecture services in support of environmental resilience and ecosystem restoration efforts, sustainable land management, land planning, and green infrastructure development. He has 20 years of private and public sector experience in landscape architecture, project management, construction observation, and design build. Mr. Wilke has considerable experience with leading environmental design for transportation projects, including streetscape design, structures aesthetics, sustainable landscape design, pollinator landscaping, vegetation management and invasive species control, establishment of native forest and meadow areas, stream and wetland mitigation, and stormwater management. He has worked closely with public and private sector teams to develop and refine best practices design guidance for roadside environmental design efforts.

In addition to his technical experience, Mr. Wilke enjoys translating between disciplines to facilitate effective problem solving on multidisciplinary teams. He has participated in substantial public outreach and coordination efforts with private and government agencies as part of consensus-building efforts during planning, design, and construction of projects impacting significant cultural or environmental resources.

Mr. Wilke holds a BLA in Landscape Architecture from The Pennsylvania State University. He is a professional landscape architect (PLA), experienced in tree preservation, forest conservation, and land management.
