Dwight Newton is an electrical and mechanical facility assessor for Marstel-Day supporting Facility Condition Assessments using the Sustainment Management System (SMS) BUILDER. His work focuses on physical plant inspection and evaluation at military installations. Before joining Marstel-Day, Mr. Newton held several positions within public safety organizations, specializing in building safety, fire codes, fire suppression and hazardous materials in industrial, commercial and government settings. During this 33-year period, he responded to numerous real world emergencies involving material and medical disasters as a paramedic and firefighter. Mr. Newton also served in the U.S. Army, USAR and the FLARNG as an 18D with mission specialization in unconventional warfare, foreign internal defense, direct action, counterterrorism, trauma medicine, water quality, public sanitation, and special reconnaissance.

Mr. Newton holds multiple certifications from the State of Florida, the U.S Army, City of Orlando and FEMA which include: WMD Hazardous Material Technician, Trench Recue Operations, Fire Service Hydraulics, In Service Company Inspector, Rope Rescue, Incident Response to Terrorist Bombings, Vehicle Machinery Rescue Technician, Passenger Train Emergency Response, Emergency Medical Technician, Paramedic, Special Operations Medical Sergeant Course 011-18D30, Advanced Trauma Life Support, USASOC(A) Mountaineering Master Trainer Course and NCOA Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course.
