Kole Dufore is a Conservation Planner and supports several contracts and conservation efforts with our federal partners. Prior to joining Marstel-Day, Kole spent 10 years supporting the U.S. Army’s Sustainable Range Program in various capacities at Fort Gordon, GA and Camp Guernsey, WY. Kole’s initial focus was centered around geospatial support to the military training mission and sustainable land management initiatives within the Integrated Training Area Management Program (ITAM). During this time, Kole served as a subject matter expert on geographic information systems, remote sensing, spatial analysis, relational database management, and cartography. In 2019, Kole took on a new challenge within Camp Guernsey’s ITAM program as the Land Rehabilitation and Maintenance Coordinator. In this capacity, Kole’s focus shifted to planning and executing rangeland assessments and natural resource monitoring protocols while leading field crews on land rehabilitation projects that supported sustainment of Camp Guernsey’s 80,000-acre maneuver training complex.

Kole’s educational background includes a Bachelor of General Studies from Georgia Southern University where his studies focused on Geographic Information Systems, Geography, and Business Administration and a Master’s of Natural Resource Stewardship with specialization in Sustainable Military Lands Management from Colorado State University. Aside from his academics, Kole’s interests in conservation and natural resource management stems from his passion for outdoor recreation including hiking, bird watching, fly fishing, and backcountry camping.
